HOW DOES IT WORK?

In four easy steps, you create a CrossedPaths profile by choosing a name, providing a short personal introduction and a profile picture. No email address is required to setup an account. The account is as anonymous as you want it to be.

Once the CrossedPaths servers have identified a match, you will be notified and you and your matchs personal profiles are exchanged. Additionally, you will see summaries of instances of where and when you and your match crossed paths. These summaries are provided only in reference to each individual user’s locations, and not those of the other matched user. This ensures privacy.

Users are able to specify gender and age preferences for their preferred matches. Users can send each other ‘likes’, send introductory messages and, if reciprocated, start chatting.

PRIVACY AND SAFETY

User privacy was an absolute priority when Loiter conceived and was developing the app. CrossedPaths does not share your photos – except of course the one photo you chose as your profile picture - nor does it share your past (or present) locations with other users.

Moreover, The CrossedPaths privacy policy is unequivocal. The bottom line is that platform will not share with persons, other than those you specify, any information that you provide through CrossedPaths that might be used to identify you individually, or allow your precise individual location to be determined, both present and in the past - full stop. Moreover, logging off from CrossedPaths results in all data related to your account being permanently and irretrievably deleted from the CrossedPaths servers and rendered un-viewable by other users. To minimize abuse and unsavoury behaviour, users are able to dismiss and block users they are matched with. Users can also be flagged by other users which subjects the flagged account to manual review and banning if they are found to be in repeated and flagrant breach of the terms of service.
